Off-line captioning is the method of preparing captions for recorded programming. Unlike real-time captioning, off-line captioning involves scripted programs that have been pre-recorded, but not yet broadcast.
Types of programs where off-line captioning may be provided include, but are not limited to, commercials, training programs, entertainment, and educational programs.
